Well we all know losing poppies is an issue, even though it means more donations, because you have to walk around looking like a dick until you find another box of them.
Also, sticking either your arm or your chest all the time is a bitch.
And if you stick the pin through one side of the poppy, it looks silly. The pin’s being visible looks silly no matter what, actually.
A helpful hint:
1. Weave the first centimetre or so of the pin through the centre of your lapel several times.
2. Begin to weave it through once more, but do not let the pin poke through the other side. Feel on both sides of the fabric to make sure it’s between the layers.
3. Carefully push the rest of the pin all the way through. Feel on both sides of the fabric again. There shouldn’t be anything that pricks your finger.
Ta da! Your poppy is now nestled tightly in there, there is nothing to prick you, and the unsightly pin is gone. I’d imagine many of you do it already, but if not, we hope this helps.
